Palazzo Cantarella

Palazzo Cantarella is a 19th-century building located in the historic center of Stella Cilento. The first floor housed "La locanda della luna" until the 1950s.

During the second half of the 20th century, the palace was gradually abandoned. In the early 2000s, the Cantarella family from Cava de' Tirreni discovered it and fell in love with it. After purchasing it, they restored it.

The project involved careful space planning and compliance with current tourism regulations.

A long phase was dedicated to sourcing antique furnishings and enhancing existing architectural elements. Palazzo Cantarella, in fact, has the soul of a warm, welcoming and above all fascinating environment. The stones that cover the facades of Palazzo Cantarella are the irregular, light and porous ones of the historic palaces of Cilento.

The lighting has been expertly organized using 19th and 20th century lanterns that confer an elegant atmosphere during the nighttime. The creation of gardens and a pool has guaranteed a green frame to the palace, usable by guests to refresh themselves or simply to savor the silence of a starry night.

The interiors, divided by thick walls, maintain a cool temperature, especially beneficial on the warmest days. A large entrance connects the breakfast room to the living room, with armchairs and sofas for reading or conversing. The six rooms contain all the comforts essential for a stay to remember. Equipped with air conditioning, TV, hairdryer and Wi-Fi, they are furnished with a taste for the antique.
